UAE Hosts World’s First International Forum on Global Governance of AI at 2018 World Government Summit

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates–()–Preeminent world synthetic intelligence (AI) specialists from over 20 international locations gathered within the UAE to launch the inaugural Global Governance of AI Roundtable, a day-long discussion board organized beneath the auspices of the UAE Minister of State for AI. The AI Initiative of The Future Society at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government was invited to contribute to the group and deliberations of this groundbreaking convening.

Organized as half of The World Government Summit, the Global AI Governance Forum occurred on Saturday, February 10, in recognition of quickly evolving AI know-how and its implications for presidency, enterprise and society. In organizing the roundtable, the UAE and The AI Initiative sought to facilitate dynamic coverage suggestions and create a roadmap for final adoption by nations world wide. The roundtable included virtually 100 of the world’s foremost thinkers, leaders and practitioners of AI in a single room – to ponder and develop methods to assist information interested by tips on how to navigate the technological explosion.
